Are you one of those people who, while travelling, keep every theater ticket, every bus stub, even nick a pair of disposable chopsticks while eating at a restaurant in Cambodia, with every intention of compiling it all into one smart scrapbook back home? Well, I am. Of course, I daydream about a bookcase with rows of identical scrapbooks of the different places I have been to, so I keep every foreign token I can possibly get a hold of or anything I can use for the purpose. Alas, let’s be honest, that’s just not going to happen soon. Imagining is one thing, but I never get around to doing the actual scrapbook. So all I’m left is an ever-increasing mass of unsorted, undecorated, random pieces of receipts, boarding passes and trinkets.
