Whenever my boyfriend and I decide to leave town for the weekend or a short vacation, I usually make all the flight arrangements. I have gotten so used to managing the tickets or passes that I only have to tell Bamboo the day and time he has to be ready with his duffel bag and we’d be ready to go. For the few times he has agreed to make the arrangements, a simple piece of paper with the travel details or a single SMS usually sufficed and I just recorded these details on my organizer.
It's always so quick and informal that it seems in this bit of the program, we’re missing the romance part of the entire romantic getaway idea.
So the next time we are planning to travel to who knows where, I’m thinking of smartening up the invitation aspect a little. Keeping it a surprise would be a good start.
Now here’s a really cool and really easy idea to surprise someone with that overdue vacation trip or that much desired cruise, a template of my future surprise plans for Bamboo. Perhaps I’ll have one of his colleagues leave one on his desk next time.
You can pin travel tickets, itinerary details and contact cards inside so the recipient can start getting excited with every attachment he/she is able to peruse. Perhaps, throw in a fun and personalized checklist, too. If you and your boyfriend are anything like us, it could prove really helpful. Below, I designed proxy tickets as samples.
