So I've been a little unstoppable today. I wanted to get a few more cards for my first Project Life workshop, thinking I'd grab a box or two of those 100-pack cards. Two hours later, I was out the Podium doors with a couple of albums and four new boxes of 616-card core kits! That's almost 2,500 cards in one go, I better be scrapbooking for the next five years. I'll start unboxing the Jade Edition right here and you'll see the rest here, and here, and here.
I've done my research and have seen previews of the other collections, and if faced with a selection of all collections, there is a possibility that I may have chosen some of these four or some of the other editions. Alas, the above collections, along with my previous Cinnamon Edition were the only five editions to choose from in Living Well Homestore, Podium, and boy, were they going fast. So I took a sample of each home just in case they run out within the next few days.
Back to the Jade Edition. This feel-good collection from Lili Niclass is all about different shades of green, colors of summer, positive disposition, and fun art. Lili Niclass has designed at least 8 Project Life editions to date, and for her, each of them has been inspired, one way or another, by her appreciating “the little things and moments in life” and it totally shows.
I'm a bit surprised by how much I like this edition and all sorts of ideas about what I could do with these cards are already swimming in my head. I find that despite the array of colors, the cards are still easy on the eyes (my eyes). I love the sunny colors, and I love how they are bright but still slightly "muted", like it spells fun as if it's the most natural thing in the world. I love the camera art and also the playful life catchphrases.
