I am hesitant to admit that I picked this up last. I know myself – I am usually a minimalist, I like earth colors and neutrals, I like classic designs and I thought there would be very little of that going on in this edition. It seemed like a great set in its own right, but it just wasn’t me.
It turned out there are more things I’d like about the Honey edition than I’d counted on and I’m glad I ended up purchasing it. The colors aren’t what I imagined they would be and most of the cards would even cross-match beautifully with cards in the other collections.
Best of all, the quantity of “message” or “catchphrase” flashcards is heartening. You get all sorts of useful one-liners or one-phrasers against a simple, single solid backdrop in this collection. I call them “words-only” cards (I know, very creative of me), and I consider them among the most useful types of cards there are in the world of scrapbooking, probably right up there with a keycard that could open the biggest washi tape vault in the world, or a bottomless debit card that would just buy all of them. You could place this “words-only” card beside a photo, and behold, there’s your message. You need not write a single thing at all.
