So for the last item on my weekend journal cards extravaganza, here is something close to my heart. Fashion design-themed journal cards. This is going to be really quick.
Fashion design collections are always something I want to make scrapbooks of. I imagine it would be great if a few years from now I can simply look back to old collections and creations by grabbing a Project Life album off the shelf. And as a student and beginner fashion designer, there is absolutely no shortage of fabric swatches in my apartment.
Here are over a dozen fabric swatches from one of my first few fashion projects. It’s amazing they kept so well and now I am able to convert them into fillers for a Project Life scrapbook.
Of course, your scrapbook doesn’t even have to be fashion-related. You can use them as purely decorative. Personally, I like adding fabric to any paper projects. Apart from the fact that I have loads of them to spare, I like that they add texture and personality; it’s a simple touch that makes it all look tangible, like you don't just see it, you can actually touch and feel it.
I have in my mind a similar, more generic custom journal cards idea and I will append them here soon for those of you who want it less fashion-themed and more “for the journal”.
